Background & Experience
Greg has been helping clients address their investment concerns and develop strategies for more than 30 years. By working with clients through numerous economic and market cycles over his career, Greg is able to share experiences and help provide confidence that their investment plans are prepared for the road ahead. His passion is to provide financial advice that makes a difference for individuals and families.
In addition to his responsibilities on the Johnston-Strnadel Team, Greg has spent the past 23 years guiding and coaching approximately 100 other financial advisors in his role as Branch Manager and Market Manager. He has utilized a wide range of solutions and strategies which, in turn, helps increase value for his clients.
Greg grew up on a farm and was a rice farmer for 16 years. He understands the importance of integrity, hard work and the value of a dollar. Greg graduated from Texas A&M University in 1989 with a degree in Economics. He started his financial career in Houston then moved to Tyler in 1993 to provide a small town lifestyle for his family.

Away from the Office
Greg spends time away from the office with his wife of over 30 years, Leann. They have two grown children, Megan and Cason. Greg enjoys flying his plane, hunting, and Texas A&M football games. Greg is an active member of Green Acres Baptist Church of Tyler and attends a Wednesday morning men’s Bible Study with community members. Greg has served as Board President for several organizations and enjoys volunteering his time and serving his community.
